etrailer Class III Trailer Hitch Installation - 2023 Audi Q5- Video

Hey, guys. It's Jake here with Etrailer. Today, we have a 2023 Audi Q5, and we're gonna be taking a look at, and I'm going to show you how to install the Etrailer class three two-inch hitch receiver. Adding a two-inch hitch receiver to the back of your Audi Q5 is gonna allow you to carry bike racks, cargo carriers, or if you get the wiring kit too, maybe even tow small trailers. The back of our Q5 has got a little bit of room for storage, but if you go on those longer trips and you wanna haul bulkier items like a cooler or some larger luggage, a cargo carrier is gonna be much easier to tie everything down onto, and you can bring that much more stuff. The other thing is is that it'd be very, very difficult to fit a bike in the back of an Audi, and if you've tried, you probably already know that. more

Stealth Hitches Hidden Rack Receiver Installation - 2023 Audi SQ5- Video

Hello neighbors, it's Brad here at etrailer and today we're taking a look and installing the Stealth Hitch rack receiver kit on a 2023 Audi SQ5. Now this is what your hitch will look like when it's installed and you may be wondering, well, where is it And that's where it gets the name Stealth Hitch because when you're not using your hitch, it's going to give you a completely factory look because the receiver block is hitting right here behind the fascia. And so when you are ready to load up accessories it's as simple as turning a knob back, locking that in place, and putting in your two inch receiver tube opening. And with that lock in place you're ready to start using your hitch. Now with your two inch receiver tube opening in place you're ready to load up your bike rack or cargo carrier and it's gonna stay in place with a 5/8 pin and clip. Now this is not included with the hitch installation kit but it is required to get your accessories in place and a lot of times your accessories will come with one if you want to pick up a locking version that's pretty nice to have if you plan on leaving those accessories on. more

Now, the number one question that we get with the Audis and the trailer hitches is: Will the kick sensors still work I've just unlocked it. Yes, the sensor still works, regardless if you have the receiver tube installed in the bumper or not. The best feature of this hitch that I think is that when you are done towing, or done biking, or done with your cargo rack, anything that you would use this hitch for and you don't want it on the vehicle anymore, it comes right off. Now, this is what your hitch looks like installed on your Audi, and you're probably saying, "Well, where is it" And the great part about the Stealth Hitch is it lives up to the name Stealth because when you're not using it, you don't have to have your receiver or your ball mount in place, and that's gonna make it nice and easy, whenever you're ready to go, to take that portion, slide it up, and have it ready to go. Now, the tow kit comes with this two-inch receiver tube opening, which is gonna be really nice for your cargo carriers or bike racks. Now this is gonna be available in two different configurations. So if you're planning on towing trailer, you do wanna pick up the tow kit as it does give you a ball that you can hook up to your trailer as well as safety chain loops and the wiring for hooking up that plug. Now we just have the standard rack receiver kit and so I'll show you some of the cool features. Now Audi's by nature tend to be a little bit more of a sporty car and they're luxury so you want it to look really good, but adding a hitch to your vehicle also gives you some ways to get your bike racks or cargo carriers around. And the way that this one accomplishes it is having the receiver tube opening be separate from the hitch. more

This is what our hitch are gonna look like when it's installed, you can see the only thing we can really see is our receiver too, so it's not gonna take away from the look of the vehicle. Our neighbor here, got this hitch because they're gonna be putting a bike rack on it using it mostly for a bike rack. However, being a class three it's gonna have a two inch by two inch receiver tube opening, so they decide they wanna tow something later on, they're more than capable of using this hitch to do that. Hitch pin hole is gonna be five eights inch in diameter, it's gonna take a standard five eights hitch pin. more

I like the way that it kind of sticks out, it doesn't stick out past the bumper kind of flows right into it. Hi there Audi owners. Herein your 2020 Audi Q5, we're going to be taking a look at and showing you how to install Stealth hitches receiver end. We've currently got it installed now and you can't even tell that it's there. I bet you didn't even know at home that we had a hitch on here but the end is removable from the crossbar and it simply clicks into place. Our receiver end just goes right up into the hitch and there it is. You want to press it in the lock on the other side before using your hitch, but now you've got a two inch by two inch receiver for all of your accessory needs.And the cool thing about the Stealth hitch and what gives it its name is that when you're done using your hitch, we twist the lever, the end drops out, you can store it in the compartment at the back of your vehicle and you look factory once again like you don't even have a hitch down there. more

Hi there Audi owners. Today on your 2014 Audi A4, we're going to be taking a look at and showing you how to install Draw-Tite's Class 1, 1-1/4 Inch Trailer Hitch Receiver. And this is what our hitch looks like when it's installed. You're only going to be able to see the receiver here, sticking out the back as the rest of it is hidden behind our fascia here. It's a Class 1, 1-1/4 by 1-1/4 receiver, so it's going to be great for very light-duty applications, such as a bike rack with a couple of bikes or an extremely small utility trailer. It uses a half inch hitch pin and clip. more

Draw-Tite Max-Frame Trailer Hitch Installation - 2014 Audi Q5- Video

Today we're going to be taking a look at the Draw-Tite Class III Custom-Fit Trailer Hitch Receiver on our 2014 Audi Q5. Now here's what the hitch is going to look like once we have it installed. It's a really clean, almost factory appearance, and that's because the crosstube's going to be completely hidden behind the bumper. And the only thing we're going to see is the receiver tube and the safety chain sticking out. Since it is a Class III hitch, it's going to offer us that two inch by two inch receiver tube opening, which is really going to give us the widest varieties of accessories that we can use for our hitch.Obviously, everybody knows you can put a ball mount in here, tow a trailer, maybe we want to go down to the lake, take a jet ski or a boat with us, but it's also going to allow us to transport some bikes. If we want to take a bike ride with some friends we can put a bike rack in there, or if we just need to make some room on the inside, we can put a cargo carrier back here and lose some of that gear to the outside of our Audi.Regardless of how we're going to be using our hitch, though, all of our accessories are going to mount to the hitch pin hole here on the side. more

Many Q5 owners use their SUVs to do a little bit of everything. Whether it's a little bit of towing, maybe using a cargo carrier while you're on a road trip with the family, or even a bike rack to hit the trails with a few friends, this hitch is going to be a great solution for you to be able to enjoy the activities.Now for the most part, the hitch is pretty visible. However, it is tucked back quite a ways underneath the bumper, and so it is going to blend in, especially when it's on the ground. Now since it does set a little bit further back, something you're going to want to keep in mind is your clearance from your bumper here, especially if you plan on using those folding accessories.Now this is a Class III hitch, so we're going to have that two inch by two inch receiver tube opening. more
